Before the actual event, there were regional qualifiers to determine the teams competing in the tournament, consisting of Vietnam, Philippines, SEA, and a Last Chance Qualifier.

Wild Rift League Asia: Schedule
WRL-A Season 2 is divided into three stages: the regular season, playoffs, and finals. These will take place across several months, from April until mid-July. Here is a basic rundown of the entire schedule for the tournament.
- Regular Season - November 2 - December 24
- Playoffs - January 1 - 14
- Finals - January 26 - 28
Wild Rift League Asia: Format
The format for each of the three stages of WRL-A Season 2 will be slightly different. In the regular season, matches will be played Bo3 in a single round-robin format as all 20 teams compete for a slot in the playoffs. The top eight teams for CN and the top four from APAC will advance to the next stage.
In the playoffs, the 12 teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket within their conference. In CN, the top four teams from the regular season will be in the upper bracket, while the remaining four will be placed in the lower bracket. In APAC, all four teams are in the upper bracket.
All playoff matches will be played Bo7. The top four teams, two from each conference, will make it to the Finals, to take place over three days.
The Finals will be split into the Round-Robin Stage and the Knockout Stage. In the Round-Robin stage, all matches will be played Bo1. The winners automatically qualify for the Grand Final, while the losers are seeded into the semifinals and quarterfinals.
The Knockout Stage of the Finals is played as an intense single-elimination king of the hill. The Quarterfinal is played as Bo3, Semifinal is Bo3. Wild Rift League Asia will culminate in the Grand Final, played as Bo7, to keep things exciting with everything to play for.
