After the phenomenal success of PGL Wallachia's inaugural season, the Tier-2 league is back again with its second season, beginning on October 4, 2024. Team Spirit won the maiden title against Xtreme Gaming, but with neither of these teams playing again this time around, anything is possible!
Season 2 promises even more excitement under the aegis of PGL, with sixteen top teams from around the globe competing for a share of the $1M prize pool. Without further ado, here's everything you need to know about PGL Wallachia S2, including the schedule, updated standings, and available streams.

PGL Wallachia Season 2: Format
The format for Season 2 replicates PGL Wallachia Season 1, kicking off with a Group Stage clash between all sixteen teams. All matches in the Group Stage are played as a best-of-three (Bo3) series. Only the top eight teams advance to the Playoffs, while the remaining teams will be sent home packing.
The Playoffs will feature an exciting double-elimination bracket format, giving the teams that lose a second chance before crashing out of the competition. All matches will be Bo3, except the Grand Final, which will be Bo5.

PGL Wallachia Season 2: Teams
For PGL Wallachia S2, eleven elite teams receive direct invitations from PGL, joined by five teams emerging from the Open and Closed Qualifiers held in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China, North America, and South America.
Some teams have dropped out of the competition, including the reigning PGL Wallachia champion Team Spirit. Other former participants include Xtreme Gaming, Team Liquid, Cloud9, PSG Quest, and Blacklist International.

The tournament will be held online at the PGL Studios in Bucharest, Romania. At least two matches will be played simultaneously during the Group Stage, with a primary and secondary Twitch stream available. The primary channel will host all Playoffs matches.
