We're halfway through the year, which means a revitalized League of Legends meta! League patch 14.10 sees a metamorphosis to the MOBA, making it feel like an entirely different game to learn from scratch.
LoL patch 14.10 won't just tweak a few numbers; it'll unleash a tidal wave of over 40 different item changes, new runes, and small scattering of champion buffs and nerfs.
But wait, that's not all! As Split 2 of the competitive year begins, a ranked reset looms on the horizon. This means players will get their Split rewards and a fresh slate, ready to brave matchmaking queues and climb the ranked ladders once again. If you've been neglecting your LoL account or are a new player, now is the time to dive into Summoner's Rift and show the enemy what you're made of!
League patch 14.10 is huge, so fasten your seatbelts and grab your reading glasses - it's a long one! Here are the complete patch notes for LoL update 14.10, including every proposed change to items, runes, champions, and more.
LOL PATCH 14.10 RELEASE DATE
According to Riot Games' official patch timetable, League of Legends patch 14.10 will be released on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
LoL patch 14.10 will be introduced gradually to accommodate different time zones and global servers. The rollout will commence in the Southern Hemisphere, with the Oceanic server at approximately 10 AM AEST.
This patch is known as the "mid-year" update, so implementation onto actual servers may take longer than usual. To protect your hard-earned LP, it's advisable to avoid entering competitive queues or any games while Riot Games is adding all the impending changes listed in these patch notes.
Here's (roughly) when you can expect the new League of Legends patch to roll out:
- 5 AM GMT (EU West)
- 3 AM CET (EU North East)
- 3 AM PT (NA)
- 8 AM KST (Korea)
LOL PATCH 14.10: WHAT'S NEW?
While League of Legends patch 14.9 focused on tweaking champions, the focus this time turns to items. The biggest change seen in the League patch notes 14.10 is a complete overhaul to AD carry itemization for crit chance and on-hit builds.
Throughout Season 14, ADCs have been lagging behind, not entirely living up to their "carry" potential. To bring them back up to speed, all Legendary-quality critical strike items are gaining at least a 5% increase across the board, with other significant changes.
With their ongoing overhaul, Riot will sunset two popular rune choices: Lethal Tempo and Predator. In particular, Riot believed Lethal Tempo was being used as a crutch by too many players, with many unconventional champions investing heavily into attack speed items that were becoming OP.
In terms of champions, Corki is flying back into the meta as Riot Games targets him for a slight rework in LoL patch 14.10. While he's not a terrible champion by any means, he has been picked twice in MSI 2024 and dubbed by viewers as "boring to watch." Riot Games are trying to pivot Corki back to mid-lane with these new changes.
Adding a sprinkle of magic and fun, four champions are getting Faerie Court skins to add to their wardrobes: Lillia, Lux, Soraka, and Tristana. If you want to splash the cash, here is each skin's price point and rarity.
- Faerie Court Lillia (Epic): 1,350 RP
- Faerie Court Lux (Epic): 1,350 RP
- Faerie Court Soraka (Epic): 1,350 RP
- Faerie Court Tristana (Epic): 1,350 RP
LOL PATCH 14.10: CORKI REWORK
Be aware that the champion buffs outlined below are tentative and may undergo alterations until Riot Games officially implements them on live servers with League of Legends patch 14.10, scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
As per usual with new patches, these initial adjustments are available on Riot Games' Public Beta Environment (PBE), their official testing platform for all new changes. We will update this section accordingly if there are any further bonus information or adjustments.
