With the second ranked split of League of Legends now well underway and MSI done and dusted, Riot Games is focusing on balancing the metagame with patch 14.12. No lane is safe, as champions across Summoner's Rift are being adjusted, with buffs to nine underpicked champions and significant nerfs to ten overpowered ones like Ashe and Corki.
Balance and crit items aren't the only things coming in League patch 14.12. The highly controversial prestige Faker "Hall of Legends" skins are also available to purchase in this latest update for a limited time. Pop your reading glasses on and buckle up; here are the complete patch notes for LoL patch 14.12.
According to Riot Games' official patch timetable, League of Legends patch 14.12 will go live on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
LoL patch 14.12 will be introduced gradually to accommodate different time zones and global servers. The rollout will commence in the Southern Hemisphere, with the Oceanic server at approximately 10 AM AEST.
There will be a brief downtime when patching begins, and matchmaking queues will likely be taken offline as Riot Games implements the latest update. Since LoL patch 14.12 is smaller in scope compared to recent updates, these changes shouldn't take longer than a few hours to implement.
Here's (roughly) when you can expect League patch 14.12 to roll out:
Bot Lane is again the focus of Riot Games' sights, as they attempt to bring some diversity back to the lane. Ashe has been a meta ADC pick throughout Season 14, especially in solo queue during the early game. As such, she is being targeted with some nerfs to bring her down to a reasonable level. Nilah and Ezreal are getting some small buffs to bring them back to the level of other competitive picks like Smolder, Ashe, and Jhin.
Corki has notably been flying high and solo since his rework in patch 14.10, which hasn't escaped the notice of Riot developers. Since he's been performing well across all ranks and snowballing too much, Riot will be clipping Corki's wings and making him less reliant on critical strikes to deal damage.
First Strike is also the main rune of conversation, as it has proven itself to be "too strong in both early and late game," so its gold production and damage amp will be nerfed.
As always, League patch 14.12 brings some sparkly skins for players to open their wallets. However, you may find you'll need to take out a loan, as three of the upcoming skins are part of the special "Hall of Legends" Faker line, commemorating the famed T1 player and current Worlds champion. The entire bundle, including these three Hall of Legends skins, is currently priced at around $240 but could change between now and June 12.
Riot Games is continuing its adjustment process for runes like First Strike and tweaking recipes and basic stats for certain items used by Marksmen.

That covers all the proposed changes to League of Legends in patch 14.12, which will go live on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Hopefully, these changes will make bot lane more prominent and impactful, with ADCs restored to their former glory.
