ECHO Proud crowned the first-ever MDL PH champions

Experienced esports team ECHO continues to show its supreme dominance in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang sphere. Their MDL PH team, ECHO Proud, reigned supreme and took the crown in the first-ever MDL PH season. They take home the glory of winning the maiden MDL PH title and $4,550 of the $20,000 overall prize pool.

Bannered with former MPL Philippines players and a wealth of experience, ECHO Proud has been strong throughout the inaugural MDL PH. They finished the regular season at the top of Group B, only losing three games in the entirety of the competition.

ECHO Proud win the MDL Philippines 2023!

Armed with their star-studded cast of players, ECHO Proud secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Gamelab on Sunday, April 23rd. Their team was comprised of: James "Jeymz" Gloria, Jankurt "KurtZy" Matira, Jhonville "Outplayed" Villar, Juatine "Zaida" Palma, and Renz "Seichu" Lopez, as not a single player put a foot wrong in their intense match-up against Gamelab.

The player who truly stole the show was Jaypee "Jaypee" Dela Cruz, the two-time MPL Philippines champion, who delivered a stellar performance and earned the MVP award of the Grand Finals. In the intense best-of-five affair, ECHO Proud started strong as Jaypee and Jeymz performed well on Lolita and Arlott, respectively. ECHO Proud won their first two games before Gamelab began to find their feet in the third game. However, it wasn't meant to be, as ECHO Proud secured their win in the fourth game within just 12 minutes of play.
