LoL Tier List: All Champions

LoL tier list: All champions.

League of Legends has a beloved cast of 165 champions in the game after the newest champion, Briar's release. With so many characters in the game, which League of Legends champions are the best?

All League of Legends champions are split into their lanes or roles: Top, Jungle, Mid, Support, and Bottom/ADC. Some characters can perform a dual-hybrid function, accustomed to fit into two lanes, establishing themselves as a meta hero for any situation. LoL Tier List: Top Lane

LoL tier list: Best champions for Top lane.

Top lane is the ideal place for players with a lot of patience. In the early game, Top can be lonely as most of the action happens in the bottom half of the map due to dragons coming up and the duo nature of bot lane. Tankier champions are often seen in Top, and they tend to instigate team fights and try to soak up as much damage as possible for their team.

To survive and thrive in Top, a champion with sustainability, mobility, and hefty damage is necessary. Crowd control (CC) abilities are also a must, so you can stop an overstepping enemy in their tracks to set up a gank for your Jungler. Hullbreaker is also a great item for Top laners who want to be left alone to seige the opponent's base.

  • S-Tier: Garen, Malphite, Olaf, Quinn, Darius, Aatrox, Fiora
  • A-Tier: Camille, Poppy, Irelia, Riven, Kled, Kayle, Illaoi, Sett, Dr. Mundo, Maokai, Tryndamere, Pantheon, Akshan,
  • B-Tier: Jax, Gwen, Gangplank, Ornn, Rumble, Kennen, Mordekaiser, Shen, Singed, Urgot, Nasus, Sion, Wukong, Gragas
  • C-Tier: Trundle, Yone, Volibear, Akali, Renekton
  • Avoid-Tier: Tahm Kench, K'Sante, Jayce, Briar

LoL Tier List: Jungle

LoL tier list: the best champions for Jungle.

The Jungle role has always been the most influential in League of Legends, and are considered the team's backbone. A strong Jungler will be able to set the pace of your team's success by ganking all three lanes, clearing jungle camps, and claiming important objectives like dragon buffs and Baron Nashor.

Luckily, Riot have made the Jungler role more accessible for Season 13, especially with the new Jungle pets. However, a God-Tier champion for the Jungle role can make or break a team, forcing the enemy Jungler ALT-F4 and rage quit if played well. Without further ado, here is our jungle tier list for League of Legends!

  • S-Tier: Briar, Evelynn, Nocturne, Bel'Veth, Shaco, Kha'Zix, Master Yi, Fiddlesticks
  • A-Tier: Jarvan IV, Sylas, Karthus, Ekko, Nidalee
  • B-Tier: Lillia, Taliyah, Graves, Diana, Rammus, Zac, Ivern, Nunu and Willump, Amumu
  • C-Tier: Elise, Volibear, Xin Zhao, Poppy, Rengar, Warwick, Skarner, Trundle, Sejuani, Vi, Shyvana
  • Avoid-Tier: Hecarim, Viego, Zed, Kayn, Lee Sin, Rek'Sai, Kindred

LoL Tier List: Middle

LoL tier list: the best champions for Mid lane.

League of Legends champions positioned in Mid are often hefty damage dealers with plenty of poke abilities. As long as they are positioned correctly, they can become fed and transform into a menace to the point where the enemy team will struggle with counters. Being in Mid is a prime position; you can roam to help other lanes and even assist your Jungle with claiming objectives like Rift Herald.

The Mid-lane can consist of anything from a spellcasting mage to a stealthy burst assassin. Due to Mid being the shortest lane in LoL, it's often subjected to a constant barrage of attacks and is most often the winning lane. Map awareness, damage and CC are both super important if you want to succeed in Mid; you can punish the enemy for getting too close to you or your tower.

  • S-Tier: Naafiri, Sylas, Lux, Xerath, Syndra, Vex, Pantheon
  • A-Tier: Fizz, Alkali, Talon, Kassadin, Taliyah, Vladimir, Orianna, Anivia, Cassiopeia, Zoe, Neeko
  • B-Tier: Malzahar, Lissandra, Jayce, Annie, Aurelion Sol, Twisted Fate, Ekko, Veigar, Ahri, Vel'Koz, Ziggs, Qiyana, Galio, Corki
  • C-Tier: Katarina, Ryze, Yasuo
  • Avoid-Tier: LeBlanc, Azir, Yone, Zed

LoL Tier List: Bottom

LoL tier list: the best champions for the ADC role in Bot lane.

The bottom lane is home to the ADCs (Attack Damage Carries). Often a ranged champion with low base HP, the main role of an ADC is to kill other squishy enemies. They used to be the most essential role in the game, wracking up XP and Gold and snowballing into an all-power killing machine with the potential to 1v5 and dominate the rest of the map.

Since Riot Games' focus has been on Top Lane and Jungle this season, ADCs are being neglected and require more effort to perform well, especially in low Diamond and low ELO. Nevertheless, some strong, unconventional champions have emerged to fulfill the ADC role, including Swain, Ziggs, and Twitch, which have win rates over 54%!

  • S-Tier: Ezreal, Ashe, Twitch, Jhin, Caitlyn, Nilah, Sivir
  • A-Tier: Vayne, Kog'Maw, Kalista, Tristana, Swain
  • B-Tier: Draven, Kai'Sa, Lucian, Miss Fortune, Ziggs, Senna
  • C-Tier: Xayah, Varus, Yasuo
  • Avoid-Tier: Jinx, Aphelios, Zeri

LoL Tier List: Support

LoL tier list: the best Support champions.

Support champions should always be in the same lane as their ADC during the laning phase, and then they can roam later on. There are several types of Supports, including Enchanters (usually focus on healing/protecting), Engagers (usually have CC abilities), and Poke (usually concentrate on dealing damage and poking the enemy).

The role of a Support champion in League of Legends is to protect and support their teammates, whether through small buffs like movement and attack speed, healing, or keeping them out of harm's way. As such, Tank champions can often fill in the Support role by merely soaking damage for their entire team. Support champions will increase the odds of winning team fights and objectives by being the team's lifeline, and therefore become a high priority target for the enemy.

Engage Supports are the best champions to climb the ranks with, as they can roam the map and act as a secondary Jungler to disrupt and displace the enemy team. Enchanters like Yuumi and Nami are generally much weaker in patch 13.19, especially in high ELO.

  • S-Tier: Blitzcrank, Rakan, Xerath, Thresh, Pyke, Senna
  • A-Tier: Rell, Zyra, Alistar, Bard, Sona
  • B-Tier: Taric, Janna, Soraka, Braum, Zilean, Leona
  • C-Tier: Renata Glasc, Karma, Brand, Nami, Swaun, Nautilus, Lux
  • Avoid-Tier: Seraphine, Milio, Morgana, Lulu, Yuumi

Final Thoughts

LoL tier lists

That was our League of Legends tier list for patch 13.19 - hopefully, you'll be scoring a Pentakill in no time! Please remember that the LoL meta is constantly changing with every update and patch note. This tier list is only a rough guideline.

Despite this tier list, there are no definitive rules on what LoL champions can and cannot be played. There are no outright "best champions" in the game, so take these LoL tiers with a pinch of salt.

An Avoid-Tier champion may work exceptionally well within specific team compositions and doesn't necessarily mean a loss. In contrast, a God-Tier champion doesn't automatically guarantee a win, either. It all boils down to your skill level, experience, game sense, and the enemy team.

We will update this article whenever there's a noticeable meta shift or when a new LoL patch goes live, so watch this space! If you want more League of Legends content, check out our ARAM guide, the rarest skins in the game, summoner spellsYour Shop, and a champion guide for Lillia!

  • God/S-Tier champions are successful in the current meta, suitable for climbing in solo queue. They perform better in practically any game and are challenging to counter. If you cannot have them on your team, they should be your top-ban priority.
  • A-C Tier champions have an average performance in most games. They aren't troll picks and should be chosen if you play well at them.
  • Avoid Tier champions tend to perform poorly in most match-ups, often with a low win rate, and should be avoided when picking a team composition in hero selection.

How is a LoL tier list decided?
