HEN1 joins FURIA

July 22, 2021

The Brazilian CS:GO wonderkids didn’t last long on their five-year journey: the team which took the CS world by storm and signed a mega-contract off the back of their performances failed to keep up with the new expectations, prompting a roster change after a disappointing showing at the Berlin major and Games Clash Masters.

In a bid to shake up their performances after sinking from 5th to 13th on HLTV’s world rankings, FURIA opted to bench ableJ in favor of HEN1, prompting a shakeup of roles in a lineup fabled for their exciting aggression. The swap of a rifler for a dedicated AWPer will allow for a different set of tactics and will likely force IGL arT to adapt his game to the newcomer’s preferences.

HEN1 arrives after a disappointing one-year stint on Luminosity on a free transfer as a replacement for ableJ, having been released with little to no notable achievements to his name since the Cinderella run under the Immortals banner all the way to the finals of the PGL Kraków major back in 2017. He’s been benched since August until recently as the organization decided to drop their entire lineup.

FURIA’s first LAN appearance with the new roster will be at DreamHack Masters Malmö starting October 1st.
