Starting April 9, straight after the culmination of the Dota Pro Circuit Tour 2 Division I, the world's best teams will be jetting off to Europe to compete online in the ESL DreamLeague Season 19, beginning in early April!

These skilled squads will be competing for a jaw-dropping $1 million USD prize pool and vying for a coveted spot in the Riyadh Masters at Gamers8 in July this year.

Here's everything you need to know about ESL DreamLeague Season 19, including the format, full schedule and all sixteen teams competing.

ESL DreamLeague Season 19: Format

After a three-year hiatus, DreamLeague is back and better than ever! Season 19 will occur straight after Division 1 DPC ends from April 9-23 for two weeks of exhilarating Dota 2 action. DreamLeague Season 20 will happen after the final Dota Pro Circuit Division 1 Tour, from June 11-25.

ESL DreamLeague Season 19 is comprised of three key stages:

Group Stage 1 (April 9 - 12): All 16 teams are split into two groups, A and B, with a round-robin format. All matches will be played best of two. 1st and 4th-placed teams from each group advance to Group Stage 2. The remaining teams are eliminated.

Group Stage 2 (April 14- 20): One group of eight teams compete in a single round-robin stage where all matches will be played best of three. The top four teams advance to the Playoff - 1st and 2nd place are in the Upper bracket while 3rd and 4th are in the Lower bracket. The remaining four teams will be eliminated from the competition.

Playoffs (April 22 - 23): For the Playoffs, the format follows a double-elimination bracket. Aside from the Grand Final, which is played best-of-five, all matches are best-of-three. The winning team qualify directly for the Group Stage of Riyadh Masters and gets the lion's share of the $1M prize pool, which is $300,000!

ESL DreamLeague Season 19: Teams Competing

Only the best of the best compete in DreamLeague! All sixteen teams are selected based on the new EPT (ESL Pro Tour) ranking system for both teams and regions, with one secured slot per region. Areas with higher ELO scores can earn additional slots.

There will be sixteen teams competing in ESL DreamLeague Season 19 - five teams from Western Europe, three teams from North America and two teams each from Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and China. ESL Gaming, part of the ESL FaceIt Group, has confirmed the following teams are competing in DreamLeague season 19.
